Welcome to thestudentdilemma! My name is Emma- I’m 20, a student and a total foodie. Like so many others my age, my desperate wish for independence came true when I started uni, and with it came the total freedom to do and eat whatever I wanted. I soon learnt that this new-found freedom also comes with responsibility, and that it’s what we DO in life that really defines who we are. So many of us take our health for granted and it becomes all too easy, especially as a student, to fall into unhealthy habits! And I don’t just mean late nights and fast foods, but putting too much pressure on ourselves leaves us feeling stressed and exhausted. But take it from me – you are stronger than that. Over the past year I felt like I was losing my balance, trying to juggle too many things at once, and for the first time in my life there was too much on my plate! I needed to take control again. I also learnt that i’m not the only one to feel this way, so I started sharing my healthier and delicious alternatives to typical ‘student’ foods to my instagram and facebook. Since then, I decided to start this blog because of the amazing response that these pictures and recipes have received! I’m hoping that my posts will inspire whoever reads them to eat a little healthier and live a lot happier!
